Saw the movie in a theater two days ago, 4K restoration. I saw it once years ago and didn't like it that much, but it's one of those films I think you have to kinda mature into. I loved it now and honestly between this and Raging bull, I have no idea how come the Academy gave the top award to Redford and Ordinary People. Not that that isn't a great film, but Elephant man is next level. Very sad, hard and powerful film to watch. Hopkins is great, Hurt is even better. Just really something else.
